Yale Road

Imad and Lina were looking to build a home which could comfortably house their multi-generational family and enable hosting large gatherings for the holidays and other special occasions. They also required clear public and private zones to enable entertaining guests while maintaining privacy for other family members.

The result is a 5 bedroom / 3 bath Contemporary Craftsman with separate living, family and study areas arranged around the central family focal point… a large dining room. Also included is a 2 bedroom / 2 bath attached ADU for one of the children and their family to live.

The main stairway has wrap-around glazing to enable indirect northern light to flood in and ample windows throughout to enjoy natural illumination. Many of these windows provide views to the majestic heritage redwoods and oaks on the property, none of which were impacted by the development.
